Track and Civil Design Engineer-In-Training

AECOM (Mississauga, ON)

  • Worked on a design team in Rail Transit department, designing Light Rail Transit systems

  • Designed track alignments and profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D & Bentley MicroStation

  • Supervised under Professional Engineers, and working towards personal P.Eng. License

  • Notable involved projects include Montreal LRT, Hamilton LRT, and Metrolinx Emergent Works

Summer 2015 & Summer 2016 (8 Months)

Junior Civil Project Manager

J.W. Contracting (Whitby, ON)

  • Assisted Civil Project Manager on civil and telecommunication projects within the GTA

  • Attended project bid walks, priced and surveyed jobs, and assisted in early site mobilization  

  • Coordinated project progress reports and timeline scheduling with subcontractors

  • Created technical drawings and blueprints using AutoCAD and Bluebeam

Evolving Engineering Distributed Team Leader

  • Engineers Without Borders Canada (Toronto, ON)

  • Lead a team of five other recent engineering graduates and professionals across Canada.

  • Research and explore the engineering professions high potential to be innovative

  • Developed strategies and workshops to increase diversity and innovation within the profession

  • Gain experience working with many different engineering stakeholders; members of PEO, OSPE, Engineers Canada, and a multitude of private engineering companies

  • Assisted Engineering Change Lab workshops with information harvesting and logistics

 

May 2015 – May 2016

Carleton University Chapter President

Engineers Without Borders Canada (Ottawa, ON)

  • Lead a chapter of approx. 40-50 students with an executive team of 10 young student leaders

  • Managed a budget of $9000 for chapter operations and to send a Junior Fellow overseas

  • Attended a multitude of Leadership workshops and conferences

  • Outreach and work alongside engineering stakeholders (private companies, PEO, OSPE)

  • Outreach and coordinate with Members of Parliament for advocacy campaigns

  • Support members, coordinate meetings, and develop a chapter operation strategy

 

September 2016 –September 2017

Chair, Founding member

  • Whitby Federal Youth Council (Whitby, ON)

  • Lead a group of 15-20 youth, consisting of high school and undergrad students in Whitby

  • Non-partisan youth advisor to the Member of Parliament for Whitby Ontario

  • Advise on key youth issues; such as education, transportation, economy, environment, etc.

  • Hosted community events and town hall meetings within Whitby

B.Eng. Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering          

Carleton University (Ottawa, ON)

  • Areas of study include: Sustainable Construction, Green Building Design, Architectural Technology, Site Recording, Building Pathology, Project Management, Urban Planning, as well as fundamental courses of Civil Engineering (Designing with Concrete, Steel, Wood, etc.)

  • Capstone design project was the restoration of an historic pulp mill in Ottawa.

  • Graduated from High school as an Honours Student, Ontario Scholar, and the Recipient of the Moffet and Duncan Architects Bursary Award
