  • Worked on a design team in the Transportation department, supervised under a P.Eng.

  • Designed track alignments and civil structures

  • Created plans, profiles, and detailed drawings primarily using AutoCAD Civil 3D & MicroStation

  • Notable involved projects include Montreal LRT, Hamilton LRT, and Metrolinx Emergent Works

  • Assisted Project Manager on civil, electrical, and telecommunication projects within the GTA

  • Matthew is a co-founder, and the active Campaign Manager of the Humans of Global Engineering social media campaign.

  • Responsibilities Include: Managing Campaign Team, Develop strategies for engagement and growth, community outreach, organize and conduct interviews, edit, and publish.

  • Accomplishments to-date: Has shared over 230+ unique stories from the engineering community, and has grown the campaign to 1600+ followers across Facebook & Instagram

Evolving Engineering Distributed Team Leader

Engineers Without Borders Canada (Toronto, ON)

  • Lead a team of five other recent engineering graduates and professionals across Canada.

  • Research and explore the engineering professions high potential to be innovative

  • Developed strategies and workshops to increase diversity and innovation within the profession

  • Gain experience working with many different engineering stakeholders; members of PEO, OSPE, Engineers Canada, and a multitude of private engineering companies

  • Lead a chapter of approx. 40-50 students with an executive team of 10 young student leaders
